• Today's edition of WALA-TV's local entertainment and lifestyle program ("Studio 10") had a segment (recorded earlier in advance) in which one of its hosts (the one named Joe Emer) was asking some of his colleagues and the son of one of them about their resolutions for the next calendar year (2015).

• Today's edition of WPMI-TV's local morning news program ("Local 15 Today") had their own version of Events Mobile Incorporated's plan to have an artificial MoonPie lowered from the top of the RSA BankTrust Building in Mobile's downtown area by 12:00 a.m. tonight as part of their overall plan for celebrating the coming of the next calendar year.

• WPMI-TV was set to have a special local TV program about the football team for the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama titled "Prelude to a Championship" broadcast today between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. as part of their main broadcast channel's (radio frequency/virtual channel 15-1) programming instead of the programs it usually had between those times from Monday through Friday (the programs were their local 6:00 p.m. news program ("Local 15 News at 6 p.m.") and the syndicated entertainment news program titled "Entertainment Tonight".*).
