- WALA-TV was set to have a local TV program about high-school football games in their local broadcast area begin appearing on their main broadcast channel five minutes earlier than usual on a regular basis beginning this week (the name of the program was "First and 10", as for when it was usually part of their programming; it was usually on Friday from 10:10 p.m. until around 10:30 p.m.).
- WAVH-FM had an interview with a news reporter for WKRG-TV (Alison Spann) on their local midday news and discussion program ("Midday Mobile") this past Thursday, September 10th (she mainly talked about her personal life along with national and foreign topics related to a series of disasters that occurred on today's date in the year 2001 (she had used today's date in reference to the disasters without the year).
