News for Friday, September 25th, 2015

• WPMI-TV had a live report about some members of their local news operation participating in a career exhibition in Mobile (the Worlds of Opportunity) for their local midday news program ("Local 15 News at Noon") this past Thursday, September 24th. 

• The cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile began providing a more vertical standard-definition version of the main programming feed for WJTC-TV on a regular basis by the middle of this month (meaning its pictures would usually appear thinner than they were intended to appear on TV screens).

• WKRG-TV and WPMI-TV each had some special news programming their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) for WKRG-TV; the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) for WPMI-TV) incorporated into their local midday news program ("WKRG News 5 at Noon" and "Local 15 News at Noon") today; both of which were about a news conference concerning the president (or "speaker") of the House of Representatives of the United States (John Boehner) (neither station had all of the special news programming from their respective provider).
