• WKRG-TV had a video recording of one the news presenters for their local news operation (Peter Albrecht) playing basketball with a member of a professional basketball team named the Harlem Globetrotters (Meadowlark Lemon) from the year 1992 in the local news programming they had this Saturday and this past Friday (the first day of this April).

• The news presenter for this past Friday's edition of WKRG-TV's local 10:00 p.m. news program (Mel Showers on "WKRG News 5 at 10") and the one for today's edition of the local news program for Saturday mornings (Chad Petri on "WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday") had used the word "disgusting" in their introductions to a report about vandalism at condominiums in the city of Gulf Shores in southwest Alabama.
