- WALA-TV and WPMI-TV had some video with logos for a TV station located in the city of Montgomery in central Montgomery (WSFA-TV) and the holding company for the station (Raycom Media) for some reports they had about the governor of Alabama (Robert Bentley) in their local news programming for this past Thursday on the third day of this November.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Saturday ("Local 15 News at 5 p.m.") had a report about a candidate for the presidency of the United States usually ignored by their local news programs since the start of his campaign for the presidency last January (Gary Johnson).*
- The weather reporter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this past Thursday (Jake Dunne on "Local 15 Today") used part of its broadcast to encourage school teachers in the local broadcast area for WPMI-TV to invite either him or one of the other weather reporters for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Chris Dunn and Kelly Foster) to talk about weather at their schools (he suggested they use electronic mail to invite either him or one of the other weather reporters).
(update for Monday, November 7th: WKRG-TV had video similar to the ones for WALA-TV and WPMI-TV for a report they had about the governor in some of the local news programming they had on this Saturday, except it only had the logo for the TV station)
