  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the fourteenth day of this August ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "Listen, happy first day back to school for Baldwin County public schools and all of our students -- that they're sleeping -- have a good school year!" for the last twenty seconds of its appearance on the channel in that period of time that day.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the fourteenth day of this August ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Devon Walsh) saying, "New at ten o'clock: a huge shark was caught out in Pensacola Bay over the weekend and the whole thing was captured on video. Whoa! Jack Moran and his friend David shared this video with us. You can see that no boat was required for this catch. the twelve-foot tiger shark was reeled in off the beach. Jack hooked it, but it took a community to bring the monster to shore. If you want to see the full video, we got it posted on our Web site, WKRG dot com" for one of its reports (along with a certain video with some digital graphics and texts of "CAUGHT ON CAMERA", "GIANT TIGER SHARK CAUGHT IN PENSACOLA BAY", and "COURTESY JACK MORAN & DAVID" for much of the presentation of this report).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the fifteenth day of this August ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "News 5 asked for your back to school pictures and our viewers delivered. We have received hundreds of photos from you over the past two weeks, like this one of Alyssa Tuberville and Olivia Bundy; they are eight graders at Central Baldwin Middle School. To see all of the pictures you've sent in, visit our Web site at WKRG dot com. We've put together a slideshow of all of the young scholars" (along with some static images appearing behind some digital graphics involving texts of "BACK TO SCHOOL PICTURES" and "SEE SLIDE SHOW ON WKRG.COM" for much of what it appeared to have had the news presenter saying) and one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Alan Sealls) saying, "Let's start with sub-tropical storm Ernesto -- you're saying wait a minute, wasn't there a sub-tropical storm Debby last week. It was, and it was actually in the same position, virtually in the same position as Ernesto" (for a part of it related to weather).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the fourteenth day of this August ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Byron Day) saying, "New research at the University of California/Berkley finds getting more sleep makes you more attractive. Authors behind this study have examined how people reacted to seeing video clips of other people expressing their opinions and rated them on how lonely they seemed. Sleep deprived -- I'm reading -- sleep deprived people were rated as lonelier and less socially desirable. The study's authors say their experiment is the first to examine the effects of sleep deprivation not just on people, but also those with whom they interact [note: the program appeared to have had a certain video with some digital graphics and texts of "EFFECTS OF LOSING SLEEP", "STUDY: LESS SLEEP MAKES YOUR LESS ATTRACTIVE" by this point]. Hey, Cal/Berkley, what can you say? We're coming right back with one final look at the weather with our chief meteorologist Jason Smith right after we take a nap [note #2: the program appeared to have had a video of a certain location with digital graphics with texts of "LIVE", "DAUPHIN'S CAM", and "COLUMBIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY" by this point immediately before one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in this period of time that day]".
