News for Monday, June 5th, 2017
- A Facebook page about a local TV program dedicated to entertainment
and lifestyles that usually appeared on the main broadcast channels for
WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV from Monday through Friday in recent times ("Gulf Coast Today") had a message
dated for this Monday about the program being on hiatus until the
Monday of the twelfth day of this June (the main broadcast channel for
WPMI-TV had extra segments for one of their local news programs ("Local 15 News at Noon") in place of it (during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m.) whereas the one for
WJTC-TV had a syndicated program specialized in documentaries ("Corrupt Crimes") in place of it (during the second half of the hour of 5:00 p.m.)).
- WPMI-TV, WEAR-TV and WKRG-TV each had special news programs concerning a missed person in their local broadcast areas take
precedence over network news programs from their from their main providers of network programming ("NBC Nightly News" from the National Broadcasting, "World News Tonight" from the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), and "The CBS Evening News" from the Columbia Broadcasting System respectively) on their main broadcast channels during the second half of the hour of
5:00 p.m. this Monday.
- The special news programs for WKRG-TV and WEAR-TV mentioned in the previous paragraph consisted primarily of what appeared to be a live news conference for about nine minutes after the beginning of the second half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Monday (the program for WKRG-TV ended about nine minutes after the first minute of it whereas the one for WEAR-TV ended about eleven minutes after the beginning of it).
