News for Thursday, February 1st, 2018
- The local news program for WALA-TV that appeared on the main broadcast
channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the
thirty-first day of January for this calendar year appeared to have had
video of a member of WZEW-FM (named Gene Murrell) for one of its reports without any mention of them or his connections to them.
- A Facebook page attributed to WABF-AM appeared to have had a message attributed to its administration dated for this Thursday concerning broadcasts of certain parades and some other messages attributed to it dated for last Friday and this past Wednesday (the thirtieth and twenty-sixth days of January for this calendar year) concerning a certain transmitter and WABF-AM itself.
- A Facebook page attributed to WPMI-TV appeared to have had live video
of some special TV programming related to a parade in the city of
Mobile in southwest Alabama for the main broadcast channel for WJTC-TV
on the first day of February (note: WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV were related to
each other due to their being members of a holding company named the Sinclair Broadcast Group).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Wednesday
of the thirty-first day of January for this calendar year ("WKRG News 5
at 10") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Mel Showers)
saying, "Great news for our local economy" before presenting a news
report immediately afterwards (specifically this one "Airbus' newest
aircraft the L321LR successfully made its maiden flight in Humberg,
Germany today. Soon this same aircraft will be built right here at the
Airbus final assembly line here in Mobile beginning in 2019")
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the
thirty-first day of January for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 9:00
p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon)
saying, "Get ready for Thursday night football right here on FOX 10"
before one of its breaks from appearing the channel in that period of
time that day before having her saying, "Even more good news for
football fans: you'll get to watch Thursday night football right here on
FOX 10: The NFL and FOX agreeing to a five-year deal. You can catch
eleven games between weeks four and fifteen [right] here on FOX 10. FOX,
which has the NFC package, will produce all of the games"afterwards.
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that
appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of
9:00 a.m. on the Thursday of the twenty-fifth day of January for this calendar year
("Studio 10") appeared to had one of its, hosts (Joe Emer) saying, "So,
uh, the Senior Bowl is in town this week and, uh, as you know people are
always trying to talk to the players, you know, the star players, well,
then, no better person to do so than the Senior Bowl's junior reporter
Jake Lehocky" a few seconds before having a video
involving a person with text of "Jake" appearing over him after having an
animated sequence with texts of "junior reporter" whereas
a local news program appeared on the channel during the first half of
the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday
of the twenty-fifth day of that January ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.")
had the same video after having audio of one of its news
presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "Well the Senior Bowl is just a few
days away and FOX 10 has a junior reporter sitting down with the players
to talk about the big game; also some advice for the future" before one
of its breaks from appearing the channel in that period of time
that day and after her saying, "During the Senior Bowl it's
like a media frenzy; a lot of questions about the game and what the
future holds" and its other news presenter (Bob Grip) saying,
"But when Senior Bowl.com's junior reporter Jake Lehocky sits down with
the players, he got some different advice. Take a listen" immediately
before having it after that break.
