News for Tuesday, February 27th, 2018
- The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV was set to have a local TV
program of theirs dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that was
usually part of its regular programming plan for the first and second
halves of the hour of 9:00 a.m. for Monday through Friday in recent
times ("Studio 10")
for only the first half of that hour this Tuesday (the first part of this installment for this Tuesday has
one of its hosts (Joe Emer)
saying, "As we have just mentioned on 'FOX 10 News in the Morning', we
are going to have a shorten 'Studio 10' today; it's going to be from
9:00 to 9:30 and at that point we're going to tune in -- we're going to
have live coverage of Officer Billa's funeral right here on FOX 10 --
just wanted to give you a heads up about that" whereas the last part of it appeared to have had his saying, "As we have mentioned, We have a
shorten show. We have to leave now for our coverage of Officer Billa's
funeral" and the other host (Chasity Byrd)
appearing to say, "That's right, we are going to broadcast starting at
9:30 and going until probably about one o'clock, Joe. Um, we are going
to be there with everyone every step of the way -- this is important to
the community, so we'll be back in just a few minutes").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Monday of
the twenty-sixth day of this February ("WKRG News 5 at 10") usually had
a report related weather and a discussion related to sports involving a reporter and a news reporter immediately
afterwards before having a break from appearing on the channel in that
period of time before having a part of it dedicated entirely to sports afterwards in
that period of time for previous installments of it in recent times
whereas
its installment for that Monday had a report related to weather before
having a video of a report related to certain and a discussion related to how certain images ("selfies") immediately afterwards before having a break from the
channel and a part of it dedicated entirely to sports immediately afterwards in that
period of time that day (note: a Facebook page attributed to WKRG-TV appeared to have had a message
attributed to its administration dated for the twenty-first day of this
February regarding the subjects of the discussion ("selfitis")).
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. and the second
half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 5" and
"WKRG News 5 at 6:30" respectively) each appeared to have had audio of
one of their news presenters (Peter Albrecht) presenting a report of a plan for the channel to have some programs that were usually part of
its
regular programming plans for the hours of 11:00 a.m. and the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. for Monday through Friday in
recent times at certain hours in which it was not usually set have them on the
Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of this February ("The Young and the Restless" at 12:37 a.m. and "The Bold and the Beautiful"
at 1:37 a.m. that day).
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("Gulf Coast Today") had one of its hosts (Kelly Foster) saying, "Thank you for joining us on this Tuesday and of course Terra and I have on our black as we pay our respects to, uh, the fallen Mobile police officer Justin Billa who they just wrapped up his funeral procession and thankfully they had sunshine for that where people could line the streets..." (note #1: both of the hosts appeared to had been wearing black articles of clothing (note #2: the name of the other host was Terra Reeves)).
