News for Tuesday, February 6th, 2018
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Monday of the fifth day of
this February ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have one of its
news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "It's a story that'll make your blood boil" immediately before having its other news presenter (Bob Grip)
saying, "New tonight at nine: the family of a fallen soldier brought to
tears after someone stole an American flag that was raised in their
loved one's honor" for one of its reports before appearing to have her saying, "New at nine: a
terrible story from Moss Point tonight" and saying, "Listen to this" for one of its other reports before having her saying, "You know, the Dow Jones Industrial had its worst day in
six and a half years; we'll let you know why that happened" immediately before one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time that day.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the third day of
this February ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had audio of its news presenter (Shelby Myers)
saying, "And let the good times roll: Mardi Gras parades hit the
streets in the
birth place of Mardi Gras and from the eastern shore. We'll take you
there" over some video with graphics involving texts of "TOP STORIES"
and "LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL"; video of her saying, "Just a bizarre
story" after having a certain video of a certain report; and audio of
her saying, "The good times keep on rolling in the port city. The
carnival season is underway with several groups rolling in downtown
Mobile this afternoon. This afternoon it was the Mobile Mystics kicking
things off -- some nice tunes there -- and if you were on the parade
route, you saw some familiar faces like Kati Weis, Sarah Wall, Bri
MacNaught, Devan Coffaro, [and] Joe Emer" over some video with graphics
involving texts of "MARDI GRAS", "LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL", AND "MOBILE
MYSTIC KICK OFF SATURDAY'S PARADE".*
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that was
usually set to appear on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during
the hour of 9:00 a.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times
("Studio 10") began appearing on it in an unusual way on the Monday of
the fifth day of this February (it did not have an animated sequence
while doing so that day; as for what it had while doing so that day Monday, it had
video involving a graphic with text of "Instant Pot Cooking" with audio
of one of its hosts (Joe Emer) saying, "Claiming to be experts or
professionals with this segment, I'm just cutting a little bit of the
fat off this chicken...", "...but yeah, Avery, it really was pretty easy
once you kind of figure out a few small..." and, "...we're not and
we're live, two Joe Emers for the price of one" before having audio of its other
host (Chasity Byrd) saying, "A little confusing on the Monday" immediately afterwards before having
audio of the host mentioned earlier saying, "Cue the intro music; 'Studio 10' is
just getting started" immediately afterwards before having audio of his saying, "And another packed week with Mardi Gras
parades on the Gulf Coast. We'll take a look at which parades are up
ahead next after a flawless beginning to 'Studio 10' on this Monday
morning" a few seconds afterwards before having both audio and video of his saying, "Welcome I'm--yeah, everybody's got that super bowl--a lot a
people were staying up late last night and stuff--so, I don't know, it's
all good..." immediately afterwards before having the other host beside him saying, "I think people were tired--I
think it's a little bit groggy today" immediately afterwards.
