- An advertisement for the comedic TV program titled "The Andy Griffith Show" was interrupted by an advertisement for another comedic TV program titled "Mayberry R. F. D."* on WKRG-TV's digital sub-channel (radio frequency channel 27-3/virtual channel 5-3) for broadcasting programming from the national TV programming service Memorable Entertainment Television (Me-TV) today during a commercial break for an episode of "The Adventures of Superman", a dramatic TV program.
*WKRG-TV and other stations affiliated with Memorable Entertainment Television located in TV markets with local broadcast rights to "The Andy Griffith Show" (WKRG-TV had the local broadcast rights to it for the Mobile, Alabama-Pensacola, Florida TV market) would usually receive an episode of "Mayberry R. F. D." through their programming feeds from Memorable Entertainment Television while all of the other stations affiliated with Memorable Entertainment Television receive an episode of "The Andy Griffith Show" through their programming feeds from Memorable Entertainment Television).
