- A former apprentice for the news department at WFTV-TV in Orlando, Florida recently became a news reporter for the one at WALA-TV (her name was Devan Cofforo).
- The most recent weather reporter hired for the weather department of WKRG-TV was introduced for the first time in their programming today as part of their local news program for Saturday mornings (the name of the weather reporter was Melissa Constanzer; the name of the news program was "WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday").
- This past Friday's (June 26th) edition of WALA-TV's local 5:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") was only available through their live video stream and shorter than most of its previous editions (it was only broadcast during the second half of its regular broadcast time period for Monday through Friday (it was usually 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. by then) due to special network programming from the FOX Broadcasting Company about a series of soccer matches lasting longer than expected in their broadcast plans for that day.
