News for Saturday, June 25th, 2016 (amended)

  • The main broadcast channel for WFNA-TV had a cropped version of a theatrical movie named "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" in its programming this Saturday (its aspect ratio was 1.33: 1 (or 4 to 3) rather than its original aspect ratio of  2.35 : 1 (or 16 to 9)). 
  • The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV was set to have a special program about tropical cyclones ("Get Ready 2016") after a local news program ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") this Sunday on the twenty-sixth day of this June (between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m).*
  • Two radio announcers for WKSJ-FM (Dan Brennan and Shelby Mitchell) talked about some changes planned for their broadcast operation while part of a segment of one the local news programs for WKRG-TV ("The Weekend Buzz" on "WKRG News 5 This Morning") this past Friday on the twenty-forth day of this June and about how those changes would affect the future of segments like this one since they usually hosted such a on a weekly basis (they would not host one like it more after next Friday on the first day of July for the current calendar year).
