News for Monday, August 22nd, 2016
- One of the hosts of a local TV program for WALA-TV dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles (Joe Emer of "Studio 10") said they were "working toward" a new set for another local TV program of theirs while hosting the one dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles this Monday (the other one was a program dedicated to high-school football teams in their local broadcast area named "First and 10").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. last Thursday on the eighteenth day of this August had a
report about a candidate for the presidency of the United States rarely
mentioned in their local news programming since the day he became one during the past year (the name of the candidate
was Gary Johnson; the name of the program with the report about him was
"FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.").
- One of the news presenters for the local news operation at
WKRG-TV (Mel Showers) had referred to two other candidates for the presidency of the United
States from the past year as if they were the only candidates for the
presidency while promoting some reports they had about them on one of their local news programs last Thursday (the names of the candidates were Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton; the name of the program upon which the reports about them were promoted (and eventually shown after a break in its broadcast for that Thursday) was "WKRG News 5 at 10 [p.m.]").
