News for Monday, August 1st, 2016

WALA-TV had a report about a former member of their broadcast operation having died recently in some of their local news programming for this Monday (his name was said to had been Lee Robinson).

WKRG-TV had a report about a member of the Senate of the United States from southwest Alabama (Jefferson (Jeff) Sessions) using the studio for their local news programs for a national TV program for the Cable News Network (CNN) this past Sunday on the thirty-first day of this past July in their local news programming for that day and this Monday.

According to WPMI-TV, the local news program they usually appeared on the main broadcast channel for their companion station between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times ("Local 15 News at 6:30 p.m." for WJTC-TV) was cancelled last Friday on the twenty-ninth day of this past July (they channel had a syndicated news program named "Inside Edition" in place of it this Monday).*
