- The Alabama Public Radio station in southwest Alabama (WHIL-FM) was
broadcasting promotions for programs from National Public Radio ("Morning Edition") and American Public Media ("Marketplace")
instead of promotions for programs for the BBC World Service between
its broadcasts of some of the programs for the service this Tuesday and
this past Monday on the first day of this August.
- One of the news presenters and news reporters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Chad Petri) had elaborated on a promotional video for a national TV program from their main provider of network programming ("CBS This Morning" from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) that appeared on their main broadcast channel during one of the breaks in its presentation of their local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") this Tuesday while part of the last segment of its broadcast for this Tuesday (he said the "special announcement" mentioned in the video was about a "book club" for the guest of the program mentioned in the video (a broadcaster named Oprah Winfrey).
