local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the third day of
this April ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had audio of
its news presenter (Lenise Ligon) presenting a report of a certain type of contest
involving one of the reporters for the program (a news reporter named Lee Peck).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Sunday of
the first day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had audio of its news
presenter (Jason Carter) saying, "Coming up, what you need to fuel your
body before you hit the gym -- put down your protein shake; join us when
we return" while having video involving digital graphics with texts of
"COMING UP", "Workout Fuel", and "ON NEWS 5 AT 10:00PM".
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of
the third day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at 6") appeared to have had a report from a certain person without any mention of whether the person was a member of their news operation or not (note: the person appeared to had said, "Reporting live
from the Augusta National Golf Club, Brad Means, WKRG News 5" near the
end of the report while holding a microphone with logos
related to WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV* (note #2: the video of the report had digital graphics with texts of
"Brad Means" and "AUGUSTA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB" (note #3: the program appeared to have one of the reporters for the news operation (sports reporter named Robby Baker) saying, "Brad
Means joins us now live at arguably golf's prettiest course" before having the video of the report))).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the first day of
this April ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had audio of
its news presenter (Shelby Myers) saying, "People living at the Mulherin
Home had a happy Easter as well; thanks to some volunteers, the
residents were surprised with Easter baskets full of items like coloring
books, notepads, and other surprises. One of those volunteers is FOX 10
News photo journalist Rodney Rocker. The Mulherin Home provides a place
to live for more than two dozen people with special needs"**; one of
its reporters (a weather reporter named Matt Barrentine) saying, "And
our Rodney does rock -- great job there, buddy" nearly five seconds
afterwards; and the news presenter saying, "Another piece of the Toys 'R' Us empire has
disappeared into the retail dust bin; the company has shut down its
e-commerce Web sites for Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us".
- The
local news programs WALA-TV had on their main broadcast channel during
the hours of 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the third day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 4:00
p.m.", "FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.", and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m." respectively) each appeared to have
had one of the news presenters for their news operation (Lenise Ligon) presenting certain notices involving the words "Doctor" and "Phil" (the first program mentioned appeared to
have had her saying, "I want to have a quick programming note for you
letting you know about
'Doctor Phil' -- as a reminder if you missed 'Doctor Phil' because of the
breaking news that we've been monitoring for you throughout this
newscast, we will have that episode for you in its entirety -- set your
DVR because that is slated for 2 a.m. Again the episode of 'Doctor Phil
initially slated to air today will come on at 2 a.m. instead, so set
your DVRs for that"; the second program mentioned appeared to
have had her saying, "A current note for you because we covered this
breaking news as part of
our newscasts we want to let you know that the episode of 'Doctor Phil'
that was supposed to come on today will air instead at 2 a.m. so set
your DVRs, 'Doctor Phil' will come on in its entirety at 2 a.m." and,
"We'll have much more of the breaking news tonight and another reminder
'Doctor Phil will air tonight at 2 a.m."; the third program mentioned appeared to have had her saying, "And we have a quick programming note for you tonight: since we covered breaking news during part of the afternoon episode of 'Doctor Phil', we want to let you know that the episode could be seen at 2 a.m., so, if you want to watch it, set your DVR because that episode of 'Doctor Phil' will come on at 2 a.m. -- you don't want to miss it" and some graphics involving texts of "PROGRAMMING NOTE" and "THIS AFTERNOON'S EPISODE OF DR. PHIL WILL AIR AT 2AM DUE TO BREAKING NEWS COVERAGE" appearing over her).
