News for Tuesday, April 17th, 2018
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Monday of
the fifteenth day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared
to have had one of its reporters (a news reporter named Joseph Blake (J. B.) Biunno) saying, "Who doesn't love bacon? Everybody loves bacon"
without explaining it for one of its reports.
- A local TV program related to sports named "WKRG Sports Overtime" appeared
to have had some members of the news operation for a certain TV station related it sprinting in a parking lot (note #1: the name of the station was WKRG-TV (note #2: the program was usually promoted as
being part of their programming plans for Sunday in recent times (specifically their plan for the second half of the hour of 10:00
p.m. for Sunday) in some of the local news programming they had in recent times)).
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 7:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the fifteenth day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 7:00 a.m.") appeared to have had its news presenter (Devan Coffaro*) saying, "We here at FOX 10 -- we definitely respect people who take adversity and turn it into something positive" for a interview she appeared to had conducted with a certain person for one of its segments whereas one of its other segments appeared to have had her saying, "We definitely wish the best of luck for y'all for a great turnout today" for an interview she appeared to had been conducting with a certain other person.
- Some of the local news programming for WKRG-TV on the Sunday of the fifteenth day of this April appeared to have had audio of a certain member of their news operation (a news presenter named Jason Carter) saying the name of a certain person who used to be one of the reporters for some of the local news programming it had before then on a regular basis in recent times (Cameron Edgeworth) without explaining whether he was referencing that particular person or not for one of its reports ("...Reporter Cameron Edgeworth of our sister station in Birmingham...") and, "The video is
just as dramatic as the description" for one of its other reports ("In Mountainburg, Arkansas, a tornado swept through the area in matter
of seconds on Friday; destroying parts of the town -- the video is
just as dramatic as the description").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Monday of the sixteenth day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") appeared to have one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) saying, "Look for us each night at six thirty to profile each one of our inductees going into the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame" after appearing to have had audio of such a profile and a discussion of the aforementioned hall of fame with one of the news presenters for the program (Peter Albrecht) for a part of it related to sports (note #1: the discussion appeared to had involved the news presenter saying, "And we've got the sports hall of fame coming up next week, Randy" and the reporter saying, "That's right! A week from tomorrow night, the twenty eighteen
induction banquet at downtown Mobile in the Battle House Hotel; and got a
couple of football players going in this year" immediately afterwards before appearing to had said, "At six thirty throughout the rest of this week and early into next week we are going to...profile each one of our inductees so we'll give you a chance to know a little bit more about them..." (note #2: a World Wide Web site with the address "http://www.mobileshalloffame.com" and some of the local news programming that was part of the programming of the channel earlier this calendar year appeared to have had reports of the reporter being an "inductee" for a certain hall of fame named the "Mobile Sports Hall of Fame")).

channel usually did not have her in the role of news presenter for
broadcasts of it that were part of its programming during the hour of
7:00 a.m. on Sunday in recent times).
