News for Tuesday, April 10th, 2018
- A certain TV program related to sports ("WKRG Sports Overtime") appeared to have had an announcement
related to the broadcast operation of the station for which it was
produced (WKRG-TV) while being part of their main programming feed on the Sunday
of the eighth day of this April.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the eighth day of
this April ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Shelby Myers) attributing a certain video of a certain report to a certain member of their news operation who was not usually mentioned in other broadcasts of it before then in recent times (Carly Bragg).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Monday of the ninth day of
this April ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") usually did not have reports
involving the words "Caroline Shively" end with the words, "In
Washington, Caroline Shively, FOX 10 News" in its broadcasts for that
period of time before then in recent times (it usually appeared to have had such reports end with the words, "In Washington, Caroline Shively, FOX News" in those broadcasts before then)
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Monday of the ninth day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had a video of a report related to a syndicated TV program based in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama that was usually listed as being part of its programming and that of WFNA-TV through certain guides to their programmings in recent times and usually promoted for them in some of the other local news programming to had been part of the one for WKRG-TV in recent times ("Today's Homeowner").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Sunday of
the eighth day of this April appeared to have had audio of its news
presenter (Jason Carter) saying, "Well coming up, Facebook's got some
explaining to do -- this time their CEO is responding to lawmakers when
Mark Zuckerberg is set to face congress -- then from massive downpours
to snow in April, it's been a wild week for weather across the country.
New video from out west just ahead" near the end of one of its segments;
"You got to check out this cool video -- it's ice explosions -- that
almost looked like -- almost looked like waterfalls" for one of its
reports in a separate segment;
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the eighth day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Shelby Myers) saying, "An historic day today in baseball as fans celebrate the forty-fourth anniversary of Hank Aaron hitting his seven hundred and fifteenth (715th) home run -- the Mobile native, passing a record set by Babe Ruth back in nineteen thirty-five (1935) -- Aaron, who wore the number forty-four, hit exactly forty-four home runs in a season four times in his career, and following his historic seven hundred and fifteenth hit, he scored forty more home runs before retiring. Both the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers have since retired the number forty-four in his honor".
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Monday of the ninth day of this April ("Studio 10") appeared to have had one of its hosts (Joe Emer) presenting a report similar to the one mentioned in the paragraph above this one ("Welcome back -- an historic day in baseball is remembered as fans celebrate the forty-fourth
anniversary of Hank Aaron hitting his seven hundred and fifteenth (715th) home
run -- the anniversary was yesterday -- the Mobile native, passing a record set by Babe Ruth back in
nineteen thirty-five (1935) -- Aaron, who wore the number forty-four, hit
exactly forty-four home runs in a season four times in his career -- following his historic seven hundred and fifteenth homer, he scored forty
more home runs before retiring. Both the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee
Brewers have since retired the number forty-four in his honor -- so Hank finishing up with seven hundred fifty-five home runs -- I've had the incredible honor to have a couple of opportunities to talk to Hank Aaron here when he's been in Mobile for serving functions, including the moving of his childhood home over to -- at the Hank Aaron Stadium, which is across the street from here -- what an unbelievable life Hank Aaron has led -- what an incredible man and as a baseball fan he was always just a legend to me -- even though his playing days were just about wrapping up when I was born, I still always remember Hank Aaron and of course he had ties to my team, too -- the Milwaukee Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers -- so, uh, and born here in Mobile. So Hank Aaron is truly a legend" (note: the program appeared to have had its other host (Michael White) saying, "He really is and--and -- couldn't happier -- couldn't be happier for a better guy for sure" immediately after having that report)).
