News for Sunday, April 29th, 2018
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the hour of 5:00 a.m. on the Saturday of the
twenty-eighth of this April ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday") appeared to
have had an animated sequence with audio of an announcer saying, "Now, Taylor Sarallo, with your first alert weather" before having a weather reporter
of theirs named Thomas Geboy saying, "Well, it's me this morning"
immediately afterwards.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday
of the twenty-eighth day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to
have its news presenter (Jason Carter)
saying, "Well looking now at the weather and -- my goodness, it was an
absolutely beautiful Saturday, but what about Sunday? Meteorologist
Thomas Geboy joins us now with a look at the rest of the weekend. Hey
Thomas" and its weather reporter (Thomas Geboy) saying, "Hey Jason -- today absolutely perfect. They made the weatherman did quite a good job
with the weather today" immediately afterwards.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of
the twenty-seventh day of this Friday ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.")
appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Byron Day) saying,
"Well Lenise*, it's felony Friday: a day where the Mobile County
sheriff's office profiles a wanted felon, so, we're helping them spread
the word -- take a look, this is Julian Evans and this is his latest
mugshot. It was taken in December. Apparently he's posed for quite a few
over the years and now deputies want him to take one more. They say
he's facing a number of charges; some of them drug related. So if you
see him call the Mobile County sheriff's department and let them know
where he is" (*note: the word "Lenise" was part of the name of other news presenter for the program (Lenise Ligon)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Sunday ("WKRG News 5 at 5") appeared to had some digital graphics, music, announcements, and other types of sounds that were not usually part of its broadcasts for that period of time or those of other news programs of theirs that were part of its programming of a regular basis before this Sunday in recent times (note: the channel also appeared to have had advertisements for other programs that were part of the programming of the channel in recent times (including a program related to sports named "WKRG Sports Overtime", another news program named "WKRG News 5 This Morning", and a syndicated program involving quizzes named "Family Feud"), certain contributors for their news operation (specifically some weather reporters for the operation named Alan Sealls, Thomas Geboy, John Nodar, and Taylor Sarallo), and a certain organization named the Salvation Army of South Alabama with similar graphics).
