News for Friday, September 23rd, 2016 (corrected)
(correction note: the suffix for the radio station mentioned in the first paragraph of this report was corrected)
- WALA-TV had an interview with two members of a radio station for the University of South Alabama in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (WJGR-LP/"The Prowl") on a local TV program of theirs dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10") this Friday (the names of the members were Heather Stanley (an advisor for the station), and Caitlyn Penter (an announcer for the station)).
- One of the news presenters on the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV this morning (Darwin Singleton on "Local 15 Today") said they were working toward having a "live look" into a high school in their local broadcast area (Leroy High School in the city of Leroy in southwest Alabama) on the program this Friday and the reason for their not having it on the program by then was due to cellular technology being sparse in the area where the school was located after it had a report about the school recorded earlier and before it had two other reports about it that were recorded earlier, including one in which its narrator (Katie Herrera) had apologized for what she said were "technical difficulties" (she did not explain what she meant by "technical difficulties").
