- According to WALA-TV and WKRG-TV, one of the weather reporters for
their
respective news operations (Matt Barrentine and Thomas Geboy)
was
outside their local broadcast area broadcasting reports about a
tropical cyclone named "Hermine" from part of the area where the cyclone was predicted to be between this
past
Thursday on the first day of this September and this Friday on the second day of this September (the one for
WALA-TV
appeared be broadcasting from the city of Saint Marks in the state of Florida in their local
news programming for this past Thursday whereas the one for WKRG-TV
appeared to be broadcasting from the city of Port Saint Joe in the same state in their own local news programming
this past Friday).
- WPMI-TV had a report about the tropical cyclone mentioned in the previous paragraph attributed to a member of the local news operation at WEAR-TV
(Hannah MacKenzie) on at least one of their local news programs for this past Thursday (the news presenter for that program (Kym Thurman of "Local 15 News at 5 p.m.") had referred to WEAR-TV as their "Sinclair sister
station" while presenting it (she was alluding to the fact that her station and WEAR-TV were related to each other due to their being members of the same holding company (the Sinclair Broadcast Group)).*
(*the reporter for WEAR-TV appeared to be outside of her own station's local broadcast area in the report; in one of the cities predicted to be affected by the cyclone (the one named Apalachicola in the state of Florida)
