(note: the first paragraph of the report titled "News for Friday, September 23rd, 2016" was corrected)
- A news article for this weblog about a certain cable TV channel
becoming available to digital transport adapters connected to the cable
TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile by the end of this
past August published earlier this September was amended to reflect the fact that its programming was
only authorized for certain types of digital transport adapters
connected to the system.
- According to a news release attributed to the holding (or "parent") company of WABD-FM (Cumulus Media), some changes to their plan for local news programming for Monday through Friday were set to take effect next Monday on the twenty-sixth day of this September due to their plan to have a new syndicated radio program in their programming on a regular basis during a time period when they usually had a local radio program of their own from Monday through Friday mornings in recent times (the name of the syndicated one was "Zazza Mornings with Cheree"; the name of the local one was "John [Marty] in the Morning").
(*according to a Facebook page attributed to the former production manager, his tenure at WKRG-TV lasted from the year 1977 until the year 1996)
