- The live video stream for WALA-TV had video of the studio for their local news programs being prepared for holding a debate between two candidates for the position of mayor of the city of Prichard in southwest Alabama (the names of the candidates were Jimmie Gardner and Troy Ephraim) for one of those programs this Tuesday (the one named "FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m." had it).*
- Some video recordings of commercial and/or promotional advertisements
that appeared on the analog broadcast channels for WEAR-TV and WKRG-TV
several calendar years ago were uploaded onto the official World Wide
Web site for an Internet video service named YouTube earlier this
calendar year (the recordings of the advertisements that appeared on the
channel for WEAR-TV were dated for the years 1988 and 1989; the recordings of the advertisements that appeared on the channel for WKRG-TV were dated for the years 1986 and 1989 (three in total for 1989)).
- A portion of a special TV program for WEAR-TV originally broadcast in the
year 1996 (under the name "Legends of The Moors") was uploaded onto their
official World Wide Web site this past
Monday on the twenty-sixth day of this September in memory of a famous
professional golfer who died last
Sunday on the twenty-fifth day of this September
(the portion featured appearances by him and some members of the news
department for WEAR-TV during the time it was produced and during recent times (their names were Arnold Palmer, Dan Shugart, and Bob Solarski respectively).
(*some live audio from the studio as it was being prepared for the debate was streamed until it was replaced by some audio recordings for some of the local TV programs for WALA-TV)
