- Some news reports set to appear on the local news program that usually appeared on
the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00
p.m in recent times ("WKRG News 5 at 10") were promoted with dramatic TV programs from their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) that were expected to appear on the channel one hour before the editions of the news program set to have the reports earlier this calendar week.
- The mayor of the city of Mobile (William Sandys (Sandy) Stimpson) had referred to WALA-TV by name while being interviewed by a member of the local news operation for WPMI-TV (Darwin Singleton) for what appeared to a live TV program about a Carnival parade in the down-town area of Mobile on the main broadcast channel of a station connected to WPMI-TV (WJTC-TV) this past Thursday on the sixteenth day of this February (he was talking about a plan to renovate the former broadcast studio for WALA-TV in the down-town area of Mobile).
- The news presenter for the local news program that appeared on the main
broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00
p.m. this Friday (Devon Walsh on "WKRG News 5 at Noon") promoted what may be a special historical program (named "Hidden History") set to appear on their main broadcast channel
this Sunday on the nineteenth day of this February (she did not say how long its broadcast time period would be other than its start time for appearing on the channel ("10:35 [p.m.]"), even though the guides to the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV
from Zap2it, TitanTV, and TV Guide had the program listed in a time period spanning 30 minutes).
