(update to a paragraph about the programming feed for the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV appearing on their live video stream on a continuous basis posted on this weblog earlier this calendar week: the programming feed was still being streamed on a continuous basis by this Sunday)
- One of the breaks in regular programming for the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV occasionally had a video with audio of a professional announcer (Jeff Davis) saying members of their broadcast operation would give umbrellas with the name of a law firm based in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (Greene & Phillips) to "people who could use some help" while driving around.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this Sunday ("FOX 10 News in the Morning") had interviews in which the name of the professional baseball player who surpassed the number of "home runs" achieved by a former professional baseball player originally from Mobile was not used in the references to him said by their interviewee (their names were Barry Bonds and Henry Aaron respectively*).
- One of the weather segments for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this Sunday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Sunday") had a graphic of a umbrella with the name of the law firm mentioned in the first paragraph while the weather reporter for the program (Melissa Constanzer) talked about what she said was the chance of rain for their local broadcast area this Sunday (zero percent) before saying, "So don't need that Greene & Phillips umbrella today".
