News for Sunday, July 30th, 2017

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV in the middle of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this past Saturday on the twenty-ninth day of this July ("Local 15 News at 5 p.m.")* appeared out of sync with its audio for much of its broadcast and 

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Friday on the twenty-eighth day of this July ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had a video of a news report (narrated by a news presenter for their local news operation named Lenise Ligon) about an effort to collect blood at their broadcast facility in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama earlier that day.

• Some of the digital guides to the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV (including those from Zap2it, TitanTV, and Comcast) did not have the correct name and description of the movie that was part of its programming (under the name "Skateboy and the Great Panda Adventure") during the hour of 12:00 p.m. and the first half of the hour of 1:00 p.m. this Sunday (they had descriptions of a different movie with a name similar to it: "The Great Panda Adventure" rather than "Skateboy and the Great Panda Adventure").**

• One of the breaks for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Friday had a video of what appeared to had been younger versions of certain members of their local news operation (Mel Showers, Bill Riales, John Nodar, Alan Sealls, Peter Albrecht, Devon Walsh, Rose Ann Haven, and Jessica Taloney) along with the text "#WKRGBACKTOSCHOOL" and audio of one of those members (Rose Ann Haven) telling its audience to send "back to school photos" and that they are their "back to school station". 

(*the program was usually set to appear on the channel at the beginning of the hour of 5:00 p.m. on a daily basis in recent times, except the channel had special sports programming from their main provider of network programming (the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)) at the beginning of that hour that Saturday)
