News for Saturday, May 18th, 2019

  • A certain part of a certain news program related to WALA-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the sixteenth day of this May ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its contributors (a certain presenter for certain parts of its related to news named Lenise Ligon) saying, "Listen to this, a local man says he got a call from, who he thought was the state public health department, at least that's what showed up on the caller I-D, but get this, they asked for his saliva" (with a digital graphic involving text of "SALIVA SCAM" and some other digital graphics resembling text of "SALIVA SCAM" near the contributor).
  • A certain part of a certain World Wide Web site related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had a certain video related to them with digital graphics involving texts of "MEL MOMENTS", "CHANGES IN TECHNOLOGY OVER MEL'S 50 YEARS", and "CELEBRATING MEL SHOWERS" near some separate groups of text such as "MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) -- In working nearly a half-century in television, Mel Showers has seen a lot of changes in the broadcast news industry" this Saturday (note: a certain part of a certain news program related to WKRG-TV that appeared to have had been part of their main broadcast channel during the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the tenth day of this May ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had a video similar to this one).
  • The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV appeared to have had a video involving some disembodied voices being used to say, "We now join our [regularly scheduled program]" before appearing to have had a certain part of a certain program named "Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford immediately afterwards by the thirty-seventh minute of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Saturday" after appearing to have had certain parts of a certain news program related to them between then and the sixth minute of the hour and a certain part of a certain program related to golf from a certain provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) during the first six minutes of the hour (note: the channel usually to have had a news program related to them by the beginning of the hour of 6:00 p.m. and the one named "Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford" by the middle of the hour on Saturday prior to this one earlier this calendar year and certain calendar years prior to this one).  
  • The main broadcast channel for WJTC-TV appeared to have had a certain program named "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" appear in a format (or aspect ratio) smaller than that of the format in which it usually appeared to had been displayed through a national cable TV and satellite TV programming service named SyFy in certain calendar years prior to this one (usually within an aspect ratio of 16 to 9) between the beginning of the hour of 11:00 a.m. and the beginning of the hour of 1:00 a.m. this Saturday (note #1: the channel (for WJTC-TV) appeared to have had it at aspect ratio of 4 to 3 (update for Sunday, May 19th, 2019: the channel appeared to have had a certain program named "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" appear in a format wider than that for the one mentioned first in this paragraph between the beginning of the hour of 12:00 p.m. and the beginning of the hour of 2:00 p.m. this Sunday (note #2: it appeared to had been displayed at an aspect ratio of 16 to 9 (note #3: the programming service named SyFy often appeared to have it appear the same way in certain calendar years prior to this one)).
  • A certain part of a certain Facebook page related to WFNA-TV appeared to have had texts of "The Gulf Coast CW is celebrating success" and "Congratulations to our Gulf Coast CW team for winning The CW Apex 2019 Award!" related to its administration with a hyperlink to a certain part of a certain World Wide Web site related to WKRG-TV involving texts such as  "Congratulations to The Gulf Coast CW for winning Apex 2019 Award for Community Marketer" on the Friday of the seventeenth day of this May (note #1: WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV appeared to have had been related to each other earlier this calendar year and certain calendar years prior to this one due to their appearing to have had been members of a certain holding company named the Nexstar Media Group during those times (note #2: a certain part of a certain Facebook page related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had texts of "Tori Blackmon is celebrating success" and "I am so proud of The Gulf Coast CW team! It was announced this morning that our “Community Marketer” video, which was nominated for an APEX 2019 award, has WON!!! Meaning, we were recognized NATIONALLY at the awards ceremony by The CW network for our station’s community marketing efforts. So proud of everyone who made it happen.
