News for Sunday, December 17th, 2017

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the sixteenth day of this December ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had its news presenter (Ashley Knight) saying, "And Trump's former campaign manager was on the gulf coast tonight. We'll tell you why after the break" immediately before one of its breaks and her saying, "Welcome back. A former campaign manager for now-president Donald Trump has written a book that takes us behind the scenes of the Trump campaign" immediately after that break after having presented a report without any mention of any specific campaign manager or any specific entity (or being) named "Trump" (note: she had presented a report concerning a certain "president" named "Trump" earlier in the part of the program before that break, though).
  • The local news program WALA-TV had on their main broadcast channel after the special network programming it had from their main provider of such programming (the FOX Broadcasting Company) during the evening hours of the Saturday of the sixteenth day of this December appeared over a period of time (thirty minutes between the first and second halves of the hour of 9:00 p.m.) that was half the period of time in which it had such a news program after the regular network programming it had from the same provider during some of the same hours (only the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. rather than those hours and the hour of 9:00 p.m. for this Saturday) on the Saturday of the tenth day of this December in accordance with how it usually had local news programming after having either regular network programming or special news programming from the provider on Saturday evenings in recent times.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the fourteenth day of this December ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had its news presenter (Bob Grip) appearing to refer to some of the news reporters for the news operation at WALA-TV (Kendra Turley and Toi Thornton) the way he usually referred to reporters of a national cable TV and satellite TV programming service named the FOX News Channel in some of the local news programming they had for their own broadcast operation in recent times while appearing to introduce certain videos of some reports attributed to them (he was saying, "FOX's Toi Thornton has been following this story and has details" and "FOX News correspondent Kendra Turley has more") whereas the local news program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. that day ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.) had him appearing to refer to them the ways in which he usually referred to refers in some of their local news programming they had in recent times (he was saying "FOX 10's Toi Thornton has been following this story today and has details on it: and "FOX 10 News reporter Kendra Turley has more").
