- WALA-TV had a report about a new "marketing campaign" of theirs named the "FOX10 Surprise Squad" on their local 9:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") today.
- The main broadcast channel for WEAR-TV had a paid commercial program (or "infomercial") for
the American Automobile Association (also known as "AAA" and "Triple A") instead of a recent edition of a
nationally-syndicated entertainment news program titled "Extra" in
accordance with their regular programming plan for the channel for
Monday through Friday today (11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.).
- WKRG-TV had two reports about an interview that one of their news
reporters (Emily DeVoe) had conducted with a candidate for the presidency of the
United States (Ted Cruz) last Saturday (December 19th) in their local news programming today (the first report was originally broadcast in its entirety on their local 5:00 p.m. news
program ("WKRG News 5 at 5") whereas the second report was originally broadcast in its entirety on their
local 10:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 10")).
