(correction note: the name of WPMI-TV's local morning news program was used by mistake in the third paragraph of this report)
- WKRG-TV had a float in a Christmas parade with the logos for both their companion station (WFNA-TV) and their own station this past Saturday, December 12th (the parade occurred in Pensacola, Florida, southeast of Mobile)
- The news presenter on today's edition of WPMI-TV's local midday news program ("Local 15 News at Noon") used a report about a ceremony for graduates of the University of South Alabama in Mobile to say that two of their "very own" (other members of WPMI-TV) were among those graduates and mention their names (this is the way she described them on the program: "they graduated Saturday and both will be thoroughly embarrassed that we mentioned them. We do that because we love you."
(*WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV had only been companions since last December; just a few days after the last time WKRG-TV had a float in a Christmas parade like the one that occurred in Pensacola last Saturday with only their logo)
