- WPMI-TV has a new news reporter named Bryan Carnaggio (you may learn more about him through his World Wide Web site, his personal and professional Facebook pages, his YouTube channel, his profile on LinkedIn, and his Twitter page for WPMI-TV).
- The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV had an Emergency Alert System graphic that differed than the one that occasionally appeared on the channel before this past Saturday (December 5th) during its presentation of a local TV program titled "Sounds of the Season" between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. (it differed by being larger than the previous one and by having white text move across a blue area instead of a green area for such text and a separate box with the "Emergency Alert System" appearing stationary below the text).
- Some members of WKRG-TV were honored for some of their work for their local news operation from between the first day of July for the previous calendar year (2014) and the 30th day of June of the current calendar year (both of which were Tuesdays) at an awards ceremony this past Saturday, December 5th (their main weather reporter (Alan Sealls) was honored in a category for weather presenters who appeared on television during this time period ("On-Camera Talent - Anchor - Weather") and two of their news gatherers (a news reporter named Allen Carter and a camera operator named Arnell Hamilton) were honored in a category for historical and cultural news ("Historical/Cultural - News") for a report titled "The Road to Selma".
