News for Saturday, December 19th, 2015

• WALA-TV, WKRG-TV, WPMI-TV, and WEAR-TV each had reports with local perspectives of a new theatrical movie titled "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in their local news programming this past Thursday (December 17th) and Friday (December 18th).

• An advertisement for one of the positions of presenting news on the local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. at WKRG-TV ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") and the position of presenting news for their local midday news program ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") was posted onto one of the official World Wide Web sites for their holding (or parent) company recently.

• The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV only had the second half of a new edition of a national news program titled "The CBS Evening News" during their regular time period for having a new edition of it in their programming (5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) today due to the channel having national programming about a collegiate basketball game about 14 minutes after the beginning of the time period in which it was set to have paid commercial programming today (5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) and due to its having a paid commercial program for its full length of time (about 28 minutes) a few minutes after the programming about the game.
