- The broadcast frequency for the Alabama Public Radio station in southwest Alabama (WHIL-FM) was constantly silent between 6:05 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. today (it had news programming from National Public Radio between 6:00 a.m. and 6:05 a.m. before becoming silent by 6:05 a.m.).*
- The cable TV channel in the the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile that usually had programming from the TV programming service of the Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS TV) had a static image of a child beside the words "Ask About Your Child's Day" on a constant basis during this calendar week (the image is still on the channel as of this writing).
(*it usually had a national radio program titled
"On the Media" during this time period on Saturday in recent years)
