News for Saturday, February 11th, 2017
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this Saturday ("FOX 10 News in the Morning") had what appeared to be live reports (such as this one) from a tavern (or "bar" or "pub") in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama about members of a club dedicated to soccer watching soccer matches from there this Saturday.
- The local news program that usually appeared on the main broadcast
channel for WPMI-TV during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from
Monday through Friday in recent times ("Local 15 Today")
had a type of segment that was not usually part of its broadcasts
before this February in the ones it had this past Thursday (on the ninth day of this February) and Friday (on the tenth day of this February) (they usually involved a member of their local news operation described as their "breaking news reporter" (Ethel Zora Asberry) presenting reports described as "breaking news" from a part of its set she said was their "breaking news center").
- One
of the news presenters for the local news program that appeared on the
main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of
6:00 p.m. this past Friday on the tenth day of this February (Rose Ann Haven of "WKRG News 5 at 6:30") said the local news
program they would have in its programming after some special network
programming about an awards ceremony expected to be part of its programming this Sunday on the twelfth day of this February would be a
"special" one (she said she and other members of their local news operation
who usually appeared on their local news programs for Monday
through Friday nights in recent times (Mel Showers (a news presenter), Alan Sealls (a weather reporter), and Randy Patrick Setterstorm (sports reporter) would be part of the program for
this Sunday).
