- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channels for WALA-TV and WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m." and "Local 15 News at 5 p.m." respectively) had reports about the former broadcast studio for WALA-TV in the down-town area of the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (both of them had reports about a plan to renovate it whereas the one on the channel for WALA-TV was the only one to have a report about its history) .
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for WPMI-TV during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
("Local 15 Today") had video of a member of their local news operation (Katie Herrera) doing what appeared to be live reports from the down-town area of Mobile (with the former broadcast studio for WALA-TV behind her at certain points) about a plan for the main broadcast channels of their broadcast operation and the one for their companion station (WJTC-TV) to have special programming about
Carnival parades expected to occur between this Thursday and the Tuesday
of the twenty-eighth day of this February (note: the plan involved
broadcasting from an office building (named "The Exchange") near the former studio for WALA-TV).*
(*the reporter said the special programming for the main broadcast channel of their companion station would be "fifteen minutes earlier" (on more than one occasion) in reference to it usually having such programming about forty-five minutes after the beginning of the hour of 6:00 p.m. in the past due to the local news programming from WPMI-TV between then and the half-way point of that hour).
