- One of the breaks for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this past Thursday ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had video** of a fictitious "traffic alert" with graphics resembling those of the graphics of recent editions of their local news programs as part of an advertisement for an automobile dealership in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (Springhill Toyota).
- The local news program mentioned in the previous paragraph had a report about a member of its station (named Chasity Byrd) being the queen of a Carnival society and her being part of a parade for the society this past Thursday.
