News for Friday, September 21st, 2018

  • A certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that usually appeared to had been part of the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times ("Studio 10") appeared to have had a certain host who was usually not one of the hosts for other broadcasts of it that were part of the channel in that period of time before this Friday in recent times (note #1: the program appeared to have a graphic with text of "SYDNEY OLINGER" over that host for at least one part of its broadcast in that period of time this Friday (note #2: a transcript of a certain part of the program involving that host was added to this site named Friday (for a certain part of it named "Conversations in Broadcasting #9"))).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twentieth day of this September ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.) appeared to have had laughter for at least one of its presentations (transcript of presentation: First news presenter: Ta ha ha ha -- in Baldwin County, mark your calendar, a week from today, a new family [laughter] friendly event kicks off [laughter] in Gulf Shores -- in Meyer Park -- sorry guys. Second news presenter: It's going to be pretty fun. First news presenter: It's going to be pretty fun. Three movies will be showing [laughter]. Second news presenter: For Halloween. First news presenter: Just keep going. (note #1: the program appeared to have had a certain image involving text of "Small Town, Big Beach Productions presents", a graphic resembling text of "MOVIES" near some text of "at Meyer Park", and some separate texts of "SEPTEMBER 27", "OCTOBER 4", and "OCTOBER 18" beside some graphics involving texts of "COCO", "HOCUS POCUS", and "CASPER" (note #2: the voice of the first news presenter might had been that of a news presenter named Byron Day whereas the voice of the second news presenter might had been that of a news presenter named Lenise Ligon)).  
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twentieth day of this September ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had a certain being (with digital graphics involving texts of "THOMAS PRAYTOR" and "SAINTS HOF INDUCTEE") saying, "All of the guys we played football with -- they're all going to be here tonight  -- all of the -- all of the hotshots and, duh, you know what, [coughs] I, uh, I -- I-- I actually had the best looking...butt on the sidelines -- so that's--that's what I'm going with, uh, that's--that's what I'm saying I'm going in for football, but really it's about racing, so, um, but that's what I'm going with and, uh, you know it's just really cool to see everyone here tonight. I'm looking forward to it" immediately after appearing to have had one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) in a separate location saying,"A big event tonight at Saint Paul's High School. The Saints welcoming seven, or several new members to their athletic hall of fame. And in that group, The Praytor twins, Hayley and Thomas. Hayley played softball while Thomas was the center on the football team, but he has made a pro career in auto racing on the ARCA circuit" (note: the program appeared to have had the reporter saying this immediately after appearing to have had the part of it involving the digital graphics and texts mentioned earlier: "He was referring to his center position").
