News for Tuesday, September 11th, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Monday of the tenth day of this September ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) saying, "Be sure to stay with us for our continuing coverage of the big story. We'll have live reports from the Carolinas starting tomorrow" and the other one (Lenise Ligon) saying, "Starting tomorrow, we'll have live reports from the Carolinas" while appearing to have had some digital graphics involving texts of "HURRICANE FLORENCE" and "CONTINUING COVERAGE") for some of its presentations
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Monday of the tenth day of this September ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Byron Day) saying, "Tomorrow, FOX 10 will be at the cemetery doing work as part of our day of caring campaign" for one of its presentations with a certain video involving digital graphics and texts of "FLAG POLE DEDICATION" and "HONORING VETERANS AT OAKLAWN CEMETERY" (note #1: a certain World Wide Web site related to WALA-TV appeared to have had what might or not had been a recording of this part of the program (note #2: the local news program mentioned in the paragraph above this one appeared to have had a similar presentation involving the news presenter mentioned second in that paragraph and the graphics and texts mentioned earlier in this one (note #3: it appeared to have had her saying, "Tomorrow, FOX 10 News will be back at the cemetery for our day of caring" for that presentation))).   
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the eleventh day of this September ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "Oh my goodness, a sixty-nine-year-old woman suffering life-threatening burns following an early-morning fire in Mobile -- crews from Fire-Rescue say they were called to Knollwood Apartments just before five o'clock this morning. They say one unit was on fire; they had to pull a woman out. She was quickly taken to USA Medical Center for smoke inhalation and burns. We're told that fire was just in that one apartment; it was ruled accidental. Of course we'll update you as we learn more" immediately after one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time that day (note #1: the program appeared to have had some digital graphics involving texts of "LIFE-THREATENING BURNS" and "WOMAN INJURED IN EARLY MORNING FIRE" for some of that presentation (note #2: a certain World Wide Web site related to WALA-TV appeared to have had what might or might had not been a recording of this part of the program with the exception of the part of it that appeared to have had the news presenter saying, "Oh my goodness")).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") appeared to have had faded to black during a part of it related to weather (transcript of presentation -- Alan Sealls (weather reporter): All right, we are talking tropics. I showed the computer models of our projections of what's out there. Now let's put our focus on...Florence, Hurricane Florence. I'll just give you one brief moment. [the program appeared to had faded to black by this point] Ok, you are going to have to give me more than a moment. I've got  to tell my producer that my computer just totally crashed, so we are going to have to come back to do weather, probably after the next commercial break, so...I am in the dark, as your screen is...sorry about that." (note #1: the program appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Devon Walsh) saying, "Weather man in the dark" and the other one (Peter Albrecht) saying, "How about that" immediately afterwards immediately after appearing to have had the part of it mentioned earlier in this paragraph before one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time this Tuesday (note #2: the program appeared to have had the reporter for the part of it related to weather mentioned earlier in this paragraph saying, "Well thanks for your patience. Computers do what they want, which is often not what we want; just like weather" for a separate part of it related to weather that appeared to had been on the channel immediately after that break))).
