News for Saturday, September 8th, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Thursday of the sixth day of this September ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 a.m.") appeared to have had one of its contributors (Byron Day) saying, "A new FOX 10 Sound Off question next week -- and no, it will not be Jalen, or Tua" without explaining it (note: a certain World Wide Web site related to WALA-TV appeared to have had a video of what might or might not had been a recording of the part of the program that appeared to have had this statement).
  • A certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Friday of the seventh day of this September ("Studio 10") appeared to have had audio of a certain contributor of some of its content (a weather reporter named Matt Barrentine) saying, "If someone tries to put up one of these twelve-day models, please, uh, just totally disregard; they're just being nuts" while appearing to have had a digital map with texts such as "FOX10 STORM tracker" and "TROPICS" for a certain part of it related to weather. 
  • The first and second halves of the local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this Saturday ("FOX 10 News of 6:00 a.m." for the hour mentioned first; "FOX 10 News at 7:00 a.m." for the hour mentioned second) each appeared to have had their news presenter (Asha Staples) conducting interviews with a certain being (a certain "Elizabeth Denham") regarding a certain subject that was often part of some of the local news programming that appeared to had been part of its programming since the month of August for this calendar year (note: some transcripts of other parts of the programs for the "Conversations in Broadcasting" section of this site were created this Saturday (update: they were added to the site on the Sunday of the ninth day of this September)).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the seventh day of this September ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had to have had a certain video involving a certain member of the news operation for WALA-TV (Bob Grip) without any mention of the member before having the video (note: one of the news presenters for the program (Lenise Ligon) appeared to had referenced the member ("Bob") immediately after appearing to have had the video (the local news program that appeared on the channel during the hour of 7:00 a.m. this Sunday ("FOX 10 News at 7:00 a.m.") appeared to have had its news presenter saying, "FOX 10's evening anchor Bob Grip with the story" immediately before appearing to have had a video similar to the one mentioned earlier in this paragraph). 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hour of 5:00 a.m. this Saturday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday") appeared to have had audio of its news presenter (Chad Petri) saying, "Our CBS game this week is a good one; a battle of top twenty-five teams as South Carolina plays host to third-ranked Georgia" for a certain part of it related to sports involving some digital graphics and texts of "COLLEGE FOOTBALL SCHEDULE", "SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH", "ARKANSAS ST. VS (1) ALABAMA                  2:30 PM ESPN 2", "(3) GEORGIA VS (24) SOUTH CAROLINA    2:30 PM CBS", and "ALA STATE VS (7) AUBURN                            6:30PM SEC" (note #1: the channel usually appeared to have had network programs from a certain provider of such programs named both "CBS" and "the Columbia Broadcasting System"  on a daily basis in recent times (note #2: the name "CBS" was often used as an abbreviation for the other one in referencing this provider)).
