News for Tuesday, September 18th, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Monday of the seventeenth day of this September ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its reporters saying, "And fire officials encourage people to stay inside as much as possible and water is your very best friend. In the newsroom, Toi Thornton, FOX 10 News" for one of its reports (note: a certain World Wide Web site related to WALA-TV appeared to have had what might or might not had been a recording of the part of the program involving that report).   
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the eighteenth day of this September ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had audio of its news presenter (Devon Walsh) saying, "We are learning more today about a court appearance of a man charged with killing a toddler after the child would not sit on the potty. Plus, several along the gulf coast are lending a helping hand to those in need after Hurricane Florence wreaked havoc on the east coast. And later in the show, the Baldwin County fair is here. We'll tell you what you need to know before heading out." while appearing to have had some videos involving digital graphics with texts of  "MURDER SUSPECT", "HELPING HAND", and "BALDWIN CO. FAIR" appearing separate from each other (note: each of them also appeared to have had a digital graphic involving text of "NEWS 5 AT NOON").
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Monday of the seventeenth day of this September ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appearing to have had one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "A first for NASA. Holly Ridings rocketed right through a glass ceiling. She became the first woman to be named chief flight director today. The senior role is responsible for leading NASA's team of thirty-two flight directors. Those are the people who oversee human space flight missions. Ridings takes the position as the agency is planning missions that will go beyond low Earth orbit, including to the moon. Ridings joined NASA in nineteen ninety eight as a flight controller in the thermal operations group. She became a flight director in two thousand five, and has led missions involving the International Space Station, the space shuttle program, and Space-X Dragon." while appearing to have had a certain digital graphic involving text of "NASA" and "BREAKING THE GLASS CEILING" and some other digital graphics involving texts of "NASA", "HOLLY RIDINGS IS THE FIRST FEMALE CHIEF FLIGHT DIRECTOR", and "BREAKING THE GLASS CEILING". 
  • Some of the local news programming WKRG-TV had on their main broadcast this Tuesday appeared to have had some announcements related to them with some static imagery involving texts of, "HURRICANE FLORENCE RELIEF TELETHON", "THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH 6AM - 7PM" and some graphics related to them and a certain organization named the American Red Cross (example #1: the local news program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have audio of its news presenter (Devon Walsh) saying, "WKRG News 5 will also raise funds for those affected by the storm with a telethon later this week. The Hurricane Florence relief telethon will be this Thursday from six a.m. to seven p.m. We will post that phone number you can dial tomorrow. You can find it on air and online at WKRG dot com" while appearing to have had such a image; (example #2: the local news program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. later this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 5") appeared to have had audio of one of its news presenters (the Devon Walsh mentioned in the previous example) saying,  "It is not too late to help Hurricane Florence victims. This Thursday, News 5 is partnering with the American Red Cross for Hurricane Florence relief telethon" while appearing to have had such an image)) (update for Wednesday, September 19th, 2018: a certain Facebook page related to WKRG-TV appeared a had received a static image from its administration similar to the kind of imagery mentioned earlier in this paragraph).
