News for Thursday, September 27th, 2018

  • The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV appeared to have had a local news program (named "WKRG News 5 at Noon") without any breaks during the first twenty minutes of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Thursday between appearing to have had news programming from their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Thursday ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "It was media day at LeFlore High School. I was invited to speak to students in Mister Powe's TV production class. We talked about the importance of being an effective communicator. They had a lot of questions about shooting video, how to tell an important, and keeping bias out of your reporting" and its other news presenter (Byron Day) saying, "We got a programming note to pass along: we've got big NFL football going on right here on FOX 10 TV tonight. After 'Jeopardy!' at six thirty, it's the FOX pre-game show...ahead of tonight's match up -- a pretty good one between the Minnesota Vikings and the L-A Rams. Check out the game, then stay tuned for your most local news and weather headlines right after NFL football on FOX" for certain parts of it (note #1: hyperlink to transcript of the part of the program involving the phrases attributed to the news presenter named Lenise Ligon (note #2: the program appeared to have had an image involving texts such as "PROGRAMMING NOTE TONIGHT" while appearing to have had audio of some of the phrases attributed to the news presenter named Byron Day (note #3: the channel usually appeared to had been set to have a certain named "Jeopardy!" (specifically the one mentioned in the paragraph near the top of this report) during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. and a certain other program named "Wheel of Fortune" during the second half of the hour of 6:30 p.m. on calendar days other than Saturday and Sunday before this Thursday in recent times (update for Friday, September 28th: some guides to the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV for this Friday for some World Wide Web sites named TitanTV, TV Guide, Zap2it, and TV Passport each appeared to had text of "Wheel of Fortune" listed for a certain period of time in which each of them usually appeared to have had text of "Celebrity Page" listed for calendar days other than Sunday and Monday before this Friday in recent times))).
