News for Sunday, September 23rd, 2018

(note: some texts of "Haley" in one of the paragraphs of a previous report for this site named "News for Friday, September 21st, 2018" were changed to "Hayley")
  • The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV appeared to have had an advertisement related to their news operation with audio of certain phrases such as "code red weather days" being said during at least one of its breaks from having a local news program of theirs (named "NBC15 News at 6pm") during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the twenty-second day of this September (note: the channel usually did not appear to have had a local news program of theirs in that period of time on Saturday before then in recent times).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the twenty-second day of this September ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had its news presenter (Jason Carter), saying, "In other consumer news, your cable bill, could soon be going up after Comcast spent thirty-nine...billion, with a b -- dollars, on European broadcaster Sky News. They were in a bidding war with Twenty-first Century Fox that upped that price. A purchase gives Comcast another twenty-two and a half million customers (with some digital graphics involving texts of "CONSUMER NEWS", "COMCAST BUYS SKY NEWS FOR $39 BILLION, and "COMCAST OUTBIDS 21ST CENTURY FOX") and, "Well, speaking of sightings, though, News 5's photojournalist Randy Lowe actually shot this video yesterday, of a bald eagle in Orange Beach. He and News 5's Debbie Williams were out doing a story near the Boggy [pronounced BO-GEE] Point Marin[a] when Randy looked up -- he saw this guy watching him. Just a beautiful sight. Just got some"* (with some digital graphics involving texts of "BALD EAGLE SPOTTED" and "BOGGY POINT, ORANGE BEACH"), and one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Thomas Geboy) saying, "Well when you see a video like that, doesn't that just make you want to stand up and just salute? That you met [indistinguishable] of America when you see a bald eagle like that" immediately after appearing to have had a sequence of animation involving a certain disembodied voice being used to say, "Now, meteorologist Thomas Geboy, with your First Alert Storm Team Forecast" immediately afterwards.
