- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the fourth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had a member of the news operation at WALA-TV (Sarah Wall) thanking and acknowledging certain entities for being part of a certain project that she and other members of the operation had promoted in some of the local news programming it had since the month of November for the previous calendar year named "10 Caring Gifts".
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on the Thursday of the fourth day of this January ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had at least one of its news presenters (Jessica Taloney) referring to a TV station with the same owners as theirs as their"sister station in Hampton, Virginia" (without any mention of its name) while appearing to introduce a video of a report by one of its members (the words "Rico Bush" were displayed over the member in the video).*
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the fourth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) introducing a certain reporter as being that of a "sister station" of theirs (without mentioning the name of it) before appearing to have her and its other news presenter (Bob Grip) in a box interacting with the reporter in a separate box (a graphic with the words "Courtney Zieller" appeared over the video of the reporter it had outside of box that had her).**
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the fourth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) saying this regarding a certain video of a certain news report before having the video itself immediately after his doing so: "What amounts to a winter hurricane is pounding the east coast, bringing with it high winds and flooding compounded by low temperatures. One low-line area that is being hit is Plymouth, Massachusetts, [that is] south of Boston. Well FOX 10 special correspondent, and my niece, Katie Perkins is on the scene: she sent me this video about what it was like".***
