- A World Wide Web site attributed to WALA-TV had an article attributed to them dated for this Monday with a report of a member of their news operation (named Bob Grip) having announced a plan to retire from it (a Facebook page related to him had a message attributed to him dated for this Monday related to the idea of his retiring for the operation (note: neither one of them had any mention of his having been part of the news operation for another TV station in southwest Alabama (WKRG-TV) before becoming a member of the one for WALA-TV)).
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on the Saturday of the thirteenth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 6:00 a.m." and "FOX 10 News at 7:00 a.m.") appeared to have had their news presenter (Devan Coffaro) conducting interviews with a certain person (named Shirley Cunningham) concerning her life and a plan for a certain type of luncheon involving her (note: a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the channel on the Wednesday of the tenth day of this January ("Studio 10") had an interview with the same person related to the same plan).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. and the first half of the hour of 11:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the thirteenth day of this January ("WKRG News 5 at 10")* appeared to have had had some video of an automobile with a logo for WALA-TV for one of its reports whereas one of its other videos appeared to had been rebroadcast while having audio of its sports reporter (Robby Baker) saying, "And I know we all ready saw it, but I feel like that the people of Mobile need to see it again" afterwards (it also had audio of his saying this immediately afterwards: "Sixty-six-year-old owner of the Philadelphia Eagles Jeff Lurie, this is the best thing of the night, the moves, it's all in the hips, Ashley**. This is how you celebrate a playoff win").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the thirteenth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had its weather reporter (Matt Barrentine) saying, "So tomorrow morning, sleep in, drink your coffee, let this stuff warm up before you head outside" after presenting a report of a "brisk breeze"; saying, "Make sure if you have to be outside that you are dressed in the warmest stuff you've got early tomorrow morning; if not, just sleep in, enjoy your coffee and -- it's Sunday morning -- just enjoy a cozy Sunday morning around the house" after presenting a prediction of certain temperatures, wind, and "wind chill" for the aforementioned Sunday; and saying, "So when you wake up tomorrow morning; like I said earlier hopefully you'd on Sunday you could just sleep on in. I'll be here tomorrow morning six to seven o'clock so you could check in with me and I'll give you what the exact temperature is and I expect them to be in the twenties. Pretty much widespread" immediately after saying, "Clear skies, north winds -- those north winds are going to be bringing down that cold air from up north; and look at Nashville right now, sitting at eighteen degrees, so obviously some very cold air just to our north that's going to help dip our temperatures tonight".
