- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the third day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had one of its weather reporters (Jason Smith) saying, "Here's where we stand now, most spots are below freezing all ready so the heaters [are] probably running in your house right now, they'll probably run all night, and our energy bills are going to take quite a hit this week because more cold air is with us again for tomorrow night and it's not over with til the weekend" after presenting one of its weather reports.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on the Friday of the fifth day of this January ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had some digital graphics related to Carnival (such as masks and certain decorations) and weather (such as temperatures) and its weather reporter (John Nodar) appearing to react to them while presenting a report related to weather: "The radar is absolutely quiet and there's a Fat Tuesday forecast. Wow, that's--that's incredible. Mardi Gras coming really early this year. Let's see if I can hand crack this computer and get it straighten out, but I will tell you we do have a weekend warm up on the way. We'll tell you in a moment right here on 'News 5' ".**
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hour of 5:00 a.m. this Saturday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday") had its news presenter (Chad Petri) saying this regarding a certain station related to them due by ownership "Today you can catch a special on the New Orleans Saints and their potential play-off run. It is called 'Saints March Through the Playoffs: A Geaux Nation Sports Special'. That will be on at 1:30 on our sister station the Gulf Coast CW (a nickname for WFNA-TV)" (note: the local news program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the fifth day of this January ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) presenting a similar report related to the station after presenting a report related to the aforementioned "Saints" (concerning a plan for a game of football involving them) and his saying, "Go Saints" afterwards).***
