- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twenty-ninth day of this December ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had its news presenter (Bob Grip) asking, "Is money the root of all evil?" before saying, "Well it certainly posed a lot of temptation for one woman. We'll tell you what she's accused of doing" before one of its breaks.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the thirtieth day of this December ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had its news presenter (Ashley Knight) saying, "Since we live in the south, we're not used to having to think about certain things like making sure your home is ready for the cold weather" before having some video related to what she was saying.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the thirtieth day of December ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had its weather reporter (Thomas Geboy) saying, "Let's get into the meat of this forecast" before saying, "Tomorrow at seven o'clock, the temperature forecast, temperatures in the low forties" for one of its weather reports (note: a map with text of "7:00 AM" appeared behind him as he was saying "seven o'clock").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the thirtieth day of this December ("NBC 15 News [at 5 p.m.]") had its regular news presenter for installments of it for Saturday in recent times (Lance Crawford) appearing to do a report related to sports (note: he was also a sports reporter for the local news operation at WPMI-TV) from a remote location (identified as "New Orleans") whereas one of the news reporters for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Nicole Fierro) appeared to had been presenting news in place of him.
- A local radio program dedicated to discussing news and public affairs ( "In Touch Gulf Coast" for WDLT-FM, WBLX-FM, and WABD-FM) had its host (Beverly McDowell) discussing the idea of hearing the program more than once through one of the radio stations set to have it in their programming feeds this Sunday (or "thirty minutes later" as she put it) to a guest of hers as part of an installment of it broadcast by at least one of those stations this Sunday* (for example, she had referred to the stations set to have it this Sunday as "one-hundred thousand watt sister stations**" while doing so (she had also said, "It takes three and a half times for the [intended] listener to comprehend the [intended] information" while doing so)).
