- A Facebook page attributed to a company based in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama named Sign Pro had some images attributed to its administration of some automobiles with some past and present logos for WPMI-TV with a message related to WPMI-TV dated for the Tuesday of the second day of this January.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Wednesday ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had a person mentioning some nicknames for WALA-TV ("FOX 10") and WKRG-TV ("News 5") for what appeared to had been a live interview conducted by one of its news reporters (Ashley Knight) in what appeared to had been a remote location.
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10" for WALA-TV) appeared to have had some compilations of various videos of its hosts (Joe Emer and Chasity Byrd) in its installments for the hour of 9:00 a.m. both this Wednesday and the Tuesday of the second day of this January (note: the installment of the the program that appeared on the channel for the aforementioned Tuesday was not hosted by them (the names of their hosts were Matt Barrentine and Asha Staples)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Monday of the first day of this January ("WKRG News 5 at
10") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Devon Walsh) saying, "News 5's Hayley Minogue
and photojournalist Arnell Hamilton bring us the story of some really
crazy people" before having one of the reports it had in videos not involving her or its other news presenter (Peter Albrecht); one of its news reporters (Mary Smith)
saying, "Interesting note here: there was a fire back here on Christmas
in Seven Hills just a week ago and now here we are on New Year's Day
another fire so some bad luck around the holidays here in Seven Hills"
in what appeared to had been a live report from a remote location; and a sports reporter (Robby Baker)
saying this in reference to certain "field goals" for a game of
football after referring to them as the "ugliest" he had ever seen: "Because of TV rights
restrictions, I unfortunately cannot show them to you right now, but
you could use the Google machine and see them for yourself".**
(**the aforementioned news presenters were not its regular news presenters (the one named Peter Albrecht was usually one of its news reporters in recent times whereas both he and the one named Devon Walsh were usually set to be the news presenters for installments of a separate local news program for the channel on calendar days other than Saturday and Sunday in recent times ("WKRG News 5 at 5" (it was usually set to be part of its programming during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. on those days in addition to Saturday)))
