News for Monday, January 8th, 2018 (amended)

(note: the first paragraph below this sentence was amended for clarity)
  • A certain Internet video stream appeared to have had the first part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Monday ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") immediately after having the last part of the one that appeared on the channel during the hour of 4:00 p.m. ("FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m.") this Monday (note: the parts were separated by a black image that lasted no more than one second).

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the fifth day of this January ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had an animated sequence it often had after having announcements of "breaking news" between previous installments of it after some of the opening sequences it often had in recent times before having one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) presenting a report of a certain lottery (this is what she was saying while doing so: "Breaking news coverage you can count on: the winning numbers to tonight's Mega Millions numbers are in") whereas the local news program that appeared on the channel for WALA-TV during the same period of time that day ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") did not have such a sequence before having one of its own news presenters (Lenise Ligon) presenting a similar report.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the sixth day of this January ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had its news presenter (Ashley Knight) saying, "I was never good at math, so good luck with that lesson" after having a video of a report involving math before having audio of its sports reporter (Robby Baker) saying, "And remember if you're planning a trip up to Atlanta for tomorrow's* big game; plan accordingly, give your self some extra travel time; lots of added security for the championship game and with President Trump expected to attend the normal high traffic in Atlanta's down-town area is expected to be even worse on Monday" immediately after presenting a report related to plans to hold a game of football for a certain championship in a certain place named Atlanta on the Monday of the eighth day of this January.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the sixth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had its news presenter (Steve Alexander Ozenovich) saying, "Someone woke up a lot richer today; must be nice, huh? The winning ticket for last night's Mega Millions jackpot was sold at a gas station in the Tampa area. That ticket, worth, oh, four hundred and fifty million dollar. Only one ticket matched all six numbers: twenty eight, thirty, thirty nine, fifty nine, seventy, with that Mega Ball of ten. The retailer gets a hundred thousand dollars bonus commission for selling the winning ticket, too. Not to bad. Now if you did miss out on the Mega Millions drawing, probably did, don't feel too bad because in less than an hour from now someone could become almost six hundred million dollars richer. FOX 10 News reporters caught up with some of you who bought tickets in Pensacola" before having a video of a report related to what he was saying (it also appeared to have had his saying, "New year, new you, new movies: some good ones will be making their debut on the silver screen this year. We're taking a look at some of them coming up on 'FOX 10 News' " before one of its breaks from appearing on the channel (it had a video of a certain report related to such movies afterwards)).
