News for Thursday, January 4th, 2018

• Two counties in southwest Alabama (Mobile and Baldwin) were part of a game being played on a national (syndicated) TV program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Thursday (the name of the program was "Jeopardy!").*

• A Facebook page attributed to a member of the House of Representatives of the United States named Bradley Byrne appeared to have had some recordings of some local TV programs for WALA-TV and WKRG-TV and a recording of a local radio program for WNTM-AM with some messages pertaining to them and his self dated from between the Tuesday of the second day of this January and the Wednesday of the third day of this January.** 

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the second day of this January ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had audio of one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "All ready Mobile has its first homicide of the year; what we know about the victim and the two crime scenes" between two animated sequences often used to begin installments of it in recent times. 

• The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV was usually set to have no break between having the last segment of the local news program that was usually set to be part of its programming during the hour of 5:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") and the first segment of TV program mentioned near the top of this report from Monday through Friday in recent times before this calendar week (it had such a break on the Tuesday and Wednesday of this week (the second and third days of this January).

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on the Wednesday of the third day of this January ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had one of its news reporters (Katarina Luketich) saying, "It is cold, Bill and Jessica***; not quite as cold as yesterday, but my [nose is] still cold, still turning into Rudolph out here, all though we are still trying to thaw out a little bit" while doing what appeared to had been a live report from a remote location.

(**the Facebook page had a similar message attributed to him dated for the same period of time pertaining to his self and another local radio station (WAVH-FM) with the exception of it not having a recording of the installment of the radio program for the station that had him beside it ("Midday Mobile"))
